About the Role
Performs routine and specialized CT radiologic procedures with advanced skills, producing computerized tomographic images of designated anatomical areas according to established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conducts CT scans; gathers patient history, explains procedures, and addresses concerns.
- Administers intravenous contrast media under physician supervision, recognizes and manages complications.
- Schedules cases, positions and transfers patients comfortably, immobilizes as needed, and practices radiation safety.
- Performs on-call duties, trains new staff, and fulfills radiographer duties when necessary.
- Prepares and maintains documentation as required.
- Supports organizational compliance and privacy programs, upholds professionalism, integrity, and ethics standards, and performs related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years related experience.
- ARRT registered technologist in computed tomography or NMTCB certified, with BLS certification.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program and CT training.
