About the role
Join our Radiology Department at MetroHealth! Serving the underserved population in the Greater Cleveland area, trauma patients, stroke patients, and cancer patients, this position will utilize advanced imaging techniques and collaborate with various healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Utilize CT scanning equipment to diagnose diseases in humans.
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Assist radiologists and nursing staff during CT-guided procedures such as biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations.
- Coordinate patient schedules for inpatients and outpatients.
- Provide education to patients about their procedures, equipment, and examinations.
- Perform on-the-spot critical thinking and effective communication skills.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- ARRT CT credential or obtain within one year of employment.
- Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
- American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtain within the standard probationary period.
Qualifications
- One year related experience, preferably in CT.
- Advanced certification through the ARRT in CT preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal-thoracic, and cardiac anatomy.
- Ability to perform IV starts and produce quality CT images.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and under stress.

Pay
Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus.
Schedule
Biweekly hours of 60, 5x12-hour shifts every 2 weeks, starting at 7p and ending at 7a, with every other Sunday call.
