About the role
As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities
- Execute all diagnostic CT studies operating equipment to include, but not limited to General Electric CT scanners, and workstation, Macintosh G3 computer, and associated patient care equipment.
- Follow formal protocols for all work assignments; explain procedure(s) to patient and respond to questions.
- Complete assigned examinations including filming, jacket retrieval and location of old images.
- Deliver patient care for all age groups of patients requiring CT services, acting as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist.
- Perform basic activities in regard to patient care; respond to emergency situations while delivering patient care.
- Consult with nursing floor regarding changes in patient's condition; document in-patient charts with patient care notes and complete incident forms for the time patient is in the CT suite.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy, upon hire.
- One year of work experience in the senior level of the core job family or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
- Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire.
- Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire required (ongoing competency through internal facility resources only; outside RQI competency resources not acceptable).
Preferred qualifications
- One year of work experience as a CT Technologist.
Pay
$40.76 - $68.42 /hour
