About the role

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center is looking for a dedicated CT Technologist to perform CT scans, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care
• Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies
• Take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images
• Provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist
• Appropriately complete documentation
• Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete
• Support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles
• Inform patients about procedures and answer questions
• Interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members
• Start IVs for contrast administration
• Use the power injector
• Contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations
• Maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in job qualifications
• Handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.)
• Promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values
• Support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans
• Comply with quarterly targeted metrics (i.e., Kronos, HealthStream, PACS, etc.)
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
• Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility
• 1 year post-graduate experience preferred
• BLS certification required
