About the role

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by a physician and for the day-to-day activities that ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate care for patient populations in the department.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflecting the patient's age-specific needs.
  • Assess patients' and families' ability to learn and incorporate teaching throughout the CT procedure.
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited 24-month Radiological Technology Program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ARRT registered.
  • CT Certification is strongly preferred or must be acquired within 6 months of employment.
  • A minimum of 1 year of CT experience is strongly preferred but not required.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 150-bed hospital that has provided high-quality health care for over 40 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County and a Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville features Sumner County’s only Level II NICU services, spacious LDRP suites, and a lactation boutique for inpatient and outpatient services. The facility is also Gold Seal Certified in Total Hip and Total Knee with The Joint Commission.
