About the Role

Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in the department. Apply principles of growth and development over the life span to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to age-specific needs, as described in the department’s policies and procedures.

Provide healthcare services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Perform Computed Tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner. Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure. Serve neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Provide leadership and supervision of all employees and students in the Diagnostic section. Formulate technical goals, establish standards of practice, and recommend policies in compliance with all regulatory agencies and corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform Computed Tomography (CT) and related procedures to produce sectional anatomic images.
• Exercise professional judgment and maintain ethical standards in service delivery.
• Provide appropriate patient care across all age groups (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
• Supervise and lead employees and students in the Diagnostic section.
• Establish technical goals, standards of practice, and recommend policies compliant with regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent degree.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Radiography (ARRT-R).
• ARRT (CT) certification required.
• Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support.
• One year of clinical experience in Radiology.
• Two years of clinical experience in CT preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
