CT Technologist

About the role

This position is supervised by a radiologist and directed by the Lead CT Tech. The primary responsibility is to perform imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner under their supervision.

Responsibilities

• Scans and images according to established protocols
• Recognizes cross-sectional anatomy and performs CTA’s as needed
• Injects contrast media where necessary
• Provides service excellence and complies with hospital policies and procedures
• Uses RIS/PACS and HIS for accurate recording of patient exams and dissemination of results

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
• Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience

Qualifications

• Must possess current Vermont state RT license
• Must have BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Must obtain 24 ECE credits within a two-year period for re-certification and licensure
• CT certified by ARRT or must obtain certification within one year of employment

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric
• Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills

Pay

Pay Range: $38.91 - 56.68 per hour
