About the role
This position is supervised by a radiologist and directed by the Lead CT Tech. The primary responsibility is to perform imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner under their supervision.
Responsibilities
- Scans and images according to established protocols
- Recognizes cross-sectional anatomy and performs CTA’s as needed
- Injects contrast media where necessary
- Provides service excellence and complies with hospital policies and procedures
- Uses RIS/PACS and HIS for accurate recording of patient exams and dissemination of results
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
- Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience
Qualifications
- Must possess current Vermont state RT license
- Must have BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Must obtain 24 ECE credits within a two-year period for re-certification and licensure
- CT certified by ARRT or must obtain certification within one year of employment
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
Pay
Pay Range: $38.91 - 56.68 per hour
