CT Technologist

About the role

At Portsmouth Regional Hospital, a 240‑bed acute care facility and ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, you will join a mission‑driven team within the HCA Healthcare family that serves communities across New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. As a CT Technologist you will operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images used for diagnosis, prepare patients, administer contrast, assist radiologists, maintain examination rooms, and monitor supplies.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient for optimal images.
• Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions and administer contrast materials.
• Prepare and operate CT scan equipment.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of patient care.
• Prepare examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures.
• Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT‑CT certification preferred.
• CT experience preferred.
