CT Technologist

Role: Performs computerized tomographic (CT) radiographs following established protocols, reviewing exams for appropriateness, and prioritizing patient cases. Responsibilities: Utilizes clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and evidence-based guidelines to manage imaging procedures. Provides patient education, ensures safety protocols, and documents events accurately. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to optimize exam flow and patient care, fostering a compassionate environment. Supports staff development, stays current with protocols, and maintains necessary credentials. Demonstrates effective communication, escalates concerns appropriately, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: ARRT certification, NM CT License or provisional license, and current BLS certification are required. Skills: Critical thinking, clinical reasoning, effective communication, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork. Provides evidence-based care, promotes patient safety, and supports organizational goals for quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
