CT Technologist

Job Summary

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with professional and departmental standards. The CT Technologist provides high-quality computerized tomography images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
• Start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
• Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• Release customers with proper post-procedure instructions.
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Preferrably Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
• Must be Registered ARRT with RT(R)(CT) CT registration required.
• BCLS required upon hire.
• Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
• On-call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 45 minutes of call back.
• Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays.
