CT Technologist

About the role
Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. Performs all CT procedures. Observant of patient's conditions. Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner. Practices radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy. Understands and operates electronic information systems. Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. Administers contrast media as required. Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT. Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement. Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Radiology (Required)
- One-year dedicated CT experience (Preferred)
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology (Required)
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (Required)
- BLS – within 30 days of hire (Required)
- ARRT certification in CT within 12 months of hire (Required)
