About the role

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT and/or radiographic exams based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations, including ER, inpatient and outpatient, routine body, and routine neuro exams.
  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self, and others, applying ALARA principles when selecting parameters for exams based on patient age and habitus.
  • Displays competency performing procedures and follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifiers, hand hygiene, and universal precautions.
  • Produces high-quality diagnostic exams and accurately enters, selects, and/or merges correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
  • Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups such as perfusions and reconstructions on the 3-D workstation.
  • Thoroughly completes hospital/department-specific forms per protocol, including incident reports, extravasation forms, and patient contrast information forms.
  • Scans in documentation as required into PACS and understands the interrelation and operation of various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS, and other hospital systems.
  • Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining the area of interest and type of scan to be performed on the patient, consulting physicians as necessary.
  • Encourages good working relationships and promotes team effort within the department by communicating positively and assisting coworkers when needed.
  • Prioritizes workflow based on patient acuity, physician availability, and equipment availability.
  • Stays current with department/hospital protocols/policies by checking email, protocol book, attending staff meetings and in-services, and participating in other department/hospital activities.

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of CT experience.
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ license.
  • American Heart Association-issued Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon hire.
  • CT Radiology Tech: AZ license upon hire.
  • Registered Technologist credential in one of the following: Radiography ARRT, Bone Densitometry, Computed Tomography, Cardio Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Quality Management, Radiation Therapy, Vascular Interventional Radiology, or Vascular Sonography.

Preferred

  • Three (3) years of CT experience.

Pay

$49.13 per hour
