CT Technologist

Summary The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) procedures under physician supervision, utilizing advanced equipment to aid in patient diagnosis across all ages. Key Responsibilities Include Performing diagnostic and interventional CT studies while practicing radiation safety.Using sterile techniques when required and demonstrating proper patient positioning.Operating CT equipment and support systems such as HIS, RIS, PACS, and teleradiography, and evaluating image quality.Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining confidentiality.Coordinating exams within the department and communicating effectively with medical staff, patients, and families.Handling scheduling, cleaning, disinfecting equipment, and reporting maintenance needs.Administering drugs and biologicals pertinent to job functions per hospital procedures. Qualifications: Graduate from a radiologic technology program with current certification or eligibility by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; CT certification within 24 months of hire. Valid state radiographer license and CPR certification are required. The role demands a detail-oriented, patient-focused team player with technical proficiency and adherence to safety standards.
