About the Role
The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) examinations following physicians' orders, using advanced imaging equipment. They tailor imaging techniques to meet individual patient needs, ensuring high-quality images while considering patient safety and comfort. The role involves utilizing knowledge of imaging factors, patient treatment, and technical judgment to produce optimal results.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in accordance with medical prescriptions.
- Operate sophisticated CT equipment and adjust imaging parameters as needed.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance with protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety standards.
Requirements
- Relevant education meeting licensing and certification requirements.
- Active Oregon Medical Imaging License.
- Certification from recognized radiologic technology boards, including CT-specific credentials within one year if applicable.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and patient-focused approach.
