Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms, and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting, innovative, and efficient environment centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.
The Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital Department of CT is a highly specialized, full-service department that strives to meet all patient and clinician needs in diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapies.
Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Call rotation required (every 8th week)
- Holiday rotation required (1-2 per year)
Pay
- Sign-on bonus: $5,000 (for eligible applicants)
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
Role Purpose
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Associate or Trade School equivalent
- Experience: No prior experience required
- Licenses & Certifications:
- IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI)
- R.T. (R) registration (required if not CT registered)
- CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, or RCES certification
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: Less than 2 years
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Intravenous Therapy
- Willing to cross-train in CT (must be R.T. (R) registered if not CT registered).
