About the role
To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of a computed tomography (CT) scanner for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Responsibilities
- Practice proper entries and records on the imaging system and radiology information system.
- Prepare patient for CT procedure by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient education.
- Operate computed tomography scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images, and perform quality control measures to ensure optimal quality images.
- Prepare patients' films for interpretation by radiologist.
- Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
- Practice safety measures in CT and Environment of Care.
- Apply the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
- Perform all duties in which individual is licensed to perform under ARRT guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT registered.
- One year CT experience or graduate of CT training program with minimum of 500 clinical hours of CT training.
