CT Technologist - $55 per hour

About the role

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist for a position in Bronx, New York. Under the direction of a radiologist, the technologist performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, exercises independent judgment, and applies ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis. The role involves patient preparation, image acquisition, assisting during biopsies, processing images, maintaining records, ensuring radiation safety, training associates, and maintaining area cleanliness. The schedule is typically two to three weekdays per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 12 PM–8:30 PM, with additional weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient data into Epic and other computer systems.
• Position patient on scan table correctly.
• Obtain appropriate scout image.
• Set protocols and sequences to obtain high‑quality cross‑sectional images.
• Assist radiologist during biopsy procedures as needed.
• Monitor procedure progression in the control room.
• Operate injector when necessary.
• Photograph, label, process, and display scan images for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain records of image slices, injections, etc.
• Observe radiation safety rules for patients and staff.
• Train other associates and students in CT procedures.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed.
• Perform other related assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program meeting ARRT certification requirements.
• NYS Licensed/Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Certification in CT.
• Experience with radiographic film processor.
• Experience with CAT Scan Systems.
• Experience with Epic tracking equipment.
• OHS Fit Test and OHS Annual Assessment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (preferred).

Pay

Hourly rate: $55.14 (hiring rate; may vary with shift differential, experience, education, or other factors).

Schedule

Evening shift; work days vary. Scheduled hours: 12 PM–8:30 PM (7.5 hours daily). Typically two to three weekdays per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 12 PM–8:30 PM, with additional weekend coverage as needed.
