Duties

  • Accurately perform CT scans ordered by physician and advanced level providers.
  • Work independently while providing effective patient care.
  • Completes a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures to include X-ray and CT of moderate to high complexity.
  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
  • Chart and log completed ultrasound as required or necessary as well as complete associated paperwork.
  • Provide supportive patient care to assist the nurses and physicians in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas.
  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards to patients.
  • Maintain the Imaging room in efficient and sanitary method as required by law.
  • Immediately report any equipment failure or malfunction to physician, or office manager.
  • Perform all quality control checks, as prescribed.
  • Understand and practice proper use of all equipment; never operates equipment inconsistent with manufacturers instruction.
  • Collect, report and document data related to patient needs/emergencies and unusual patient and family behavior.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program required.
  • Experience: One (1) year experience of imaging required. GI or internal medicine office experience preferred.
  • CT Certification required.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient technical (computer) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated with initiative.
  • Strong sense of ethics.

Performance Requirements

  • Additional Qualifications: CT Certification required.
