CT Technologist (3 12--hour shifts) - Weekday Nights
About the role
New hire sign-on bonus of up to $30,000 and relocation assistance of up to $7,000 available. The CT Technologist performs CT imaging procedures, operates equipment, and ensures high-quality diagnostic imaging. Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for patients of all ages, operates highly specialized technical equipment, and performs IV contrast injections and other required skills. Processes patients, which may include scheduling, registration, file management, and computer processing skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients of all ages.
- Operate CT equipment to obtain quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Perform IV contrast injections and other required skills.
- Process patients, including scheduling, registration, file management, and computer processing.
- Comply with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in the training of students and staff as assigned.
- Maintain ARRT registry and enhance personal and professional growth through educational opportunities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of computed tomography procedures, cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety principles, and contrast media administration.
- Ability to operate CT equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented, able to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional standards.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday; 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Pay
Compensation range: $33.52 - $50.28 per hour. Employee pay is based on qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. This range does not include benefits or pension plan.
