CT Technologist, $20K Sign on Bonus

Employment Type: Full time, evening shift with on-call rotation on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Coverage required at Health Plex, Rio Vista, and Hospital as needed. $20K sign-on bonus for this full-time position.

About the Role

Performs a variety of technical procedures in Computerized Tomography and processes scans. Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledgeable in the proper use of PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and manufacturer recommendations. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy.

Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately records the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders. Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds appropriately. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the CT scan and all equipment, ensuring the area is appropriately stocked with supplies. Provides for the physical, medical, emotional, and safety needs of the patient.

Maintains weekly and monthly quality control (QC) on CT and MRI equipment. Works independently and communicates effectively with all Radiology staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures accurately and proficiently.
• Operate PACS and RIS systems according to protocols.
• Administer contrast media and recognize/respond to reactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of CT scan area and equipment.
• Perform weekly and monthly QC on CT and MRI equipment.
• Start IVs and perform post-processing/3D reconstructions of CTA Brain, Neck, and Cardiac imaging.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved school for Radiology.
• Two years' experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
• MRI experience and certification required.
• Florida Radiology License; ARRT (CT) Certification highly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to start IVs and perform 3D reconstructions.
• Excellent customer service and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
