Responsibilities
- Prepare the CT room for each exam.
- Review patient history and prior imaging before the scan.
- Choose the correct exam based on the patient's condition.
- Partner with radiologists and providers when questions arise.
- Explain the exam clearly to each patient.
- Support patients before, during, and after imaging.
- Adjust the exam if patient needs change.
- Operate the CT scanner safely and accurately.
- Check image quality before completing the exam.
- Follow radiation safety standards at all times.
- Start IVs and perform venipuncture as needed.
- Complete interventional CT procedures when assigned.
- Help train students or staff when requested.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required)
Experienced CT Techs with at least 1 year of experience highly preferred.
Comfortable working independently
Strong understanding of age-specific patient care
Proven venipuncture skills
Experience using PACS and RIS systems
EPIC RIS, FUJI, or IntelliSpace PACS experience preferred
Qualifications
ARRT in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Computed Tomography
ARRT CT certification highly preferred at hire; required within 1 year of hire
Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
