CT Tech Trainee (Must Have Current ARRT(R) Certification)

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm (training hours may vary)
  • $5 shift differential applies after 5pm

Responsibilities

  • Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner
  • Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision
  • Observes and assists with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable)
  • Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines
  • Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging
  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures
  • Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process
  • Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned
  • Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role

Qualifications

  • Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT)
  • Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe
  • Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development

Pay Range: $36.00 - $38.00 / Hourly
