CT Tech PRN

About the role

The CT Technologist at TriStar Horizon Medical Center performs a variety of technical procedures using computerized tomography scanners. This role is responsible for creating cross-section images of patients' masses and internal organs for medical analysis. The technologist maintains a safe and clean working environment, follows quality assurance guidelines, and ensures the safety and comfort of the patient throughout the exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform all requested computed tomography examinations and document patient care services
• Operate radiology equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain equipment inventories
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during transport and throughout the exam
• Administer contrast agents under the guidance of a site Radiologist
• Maintain a safe, clean, and cooperative work environment by adhering to hospital policies and infection control protocols
• Provide images in the desired format and contribute to the team effort as needed
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous education and professional development

Requirements

• Current ARRT registration
• Computer Tomography certification strongly preferred or acquired within six months of hire
• 1 year post-graduate related experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification (or obtained 30 days from hire)
