Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of basic and advanced CT procedures under the direction of the Staff Radiologist and according to departmental protocols.
- Provides direct patient care, ensures safety for all patients, and delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging.
- Safely administers and monitors IV contrast injections per hospital and departmental policy.
- Assesses patients for contraindications, allergies, and potential complications prior to contrast use.
- Maintains accurate documentation in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
- Troubleshoots CT equipment and escalates issues promptly to leadership or service engineers.
- Affixes to hospital infection control policies, including use of PPE and cleaning protocols.
- Provides backup support to other modalities or imaging areas as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiography Program
- Current ARRT certification ARRT (CT) credential (or CT Registry Board eligible)
- IEMA licensure (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- IV certification (preferred)
