About the Role

This position involves operating imaging equipment safely and properly, performing CT examinations, and collaborating with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Follows infection control standards and uses approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about exams and completes them in a timely manner.
• Operates CT scanners, injectors, and monitors according to department protocols.
• Confirms exam appropriateness and identifies potential contraindications based on patient history and clinical information.
• Administers IV contrast material safely and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and patient care continuity.

Requirements

• Knowledge of CT procedures and scanners.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse people.
• Basic IV competency and knowledge of general physics and anatomy.
• Experience in radiology and completion of CT training program.
• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT)) license.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certification (preferred).
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.

• CT safety including radiation protection.
• General computer skills and PACS.
• Basic IV competency.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, cardiac & vascular skills, 3D workstation skills, and IV placement skills.

$27.67 - $51.47 per hour.
