CT Tech Part time Rotating

Responsibilities

• Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
• Administers contrast media orally and/or intravenously in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols, and physician orders. Follows through with post-exam instructions.
• Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time, and other technical data into the computer.
• Communicates with patients before and during the procedure; monitors safety and comfort.
• Views images of organs or tissue on a video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
• Performs CT equipment Quality Assurance (QA) and maintains required logs.
• Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
• Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• ARRTIEMA Division of Nuclear Safety certification.
• BLS through American Heart Association.
• Required: 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent.
• Preferred: ARRT registry in CT or MRI; 1 year experience.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $38.20 - $51.57 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
