CT Tech/Full-Time-Afternoons/Miami Valley North

About the role

CT Tech at Miami Valley Hospital North works full‑time afternoons (Wednesday‑Friday, 12:30 p.m.–1:00 a.m.) in the Medical Imaging unit. The technologist independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures, administers contrast media, operates equipment within scope of practice, coordinates patient flow and CT scanner activities, maintains equipment, and may perform other imaging modalities or work at other facilities as needed, with possible on‑call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media.
• Works under scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.
• Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner.
• Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties to maintain equipment in good working condition.
• May perform procedures in other imaging modalities or at other facilities based on departmental needs.
• May have on‑call responsibilities.

Education

Associate degree in Allied Health, with a major in Radiologic Technology.

Licensure & Certification

• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire
• ARRT RT (R) registry required
• ODH licensure required
• CT registry preferred

Experience

No prior job‑related work experience required; preferred: one year of experience or additional training in the specialized field of CT.

• Cross‑sectional anatomy
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage
• Advanced CT computer applications
• Radiation safety
