CT Tech FSED-CT
Responsibilities
- Perform CT work on several different types of equipment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Function as part of a team, potentially training graduate and student technologists
- Interact with patients, fellow workers, physicians, and visitors in a medical environment
- Handle all segments of patient populations, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients
- Work irregular hours, including overtime and after-hours call-ins
- Assist in other areas during low volume periods as needed
Requirements
- One year of experience in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Registered as CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of employment
- Valid Ohio License as a Radiographer
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Prior experience picking up shifts at Springfield ED preferred
- Minimum shift requirement of 16 hours per month and one holiday per year
Qualifications
The applicant must have the ability to tolerate long periods of standing, bending, stooping, and lifting.
The applicant should be mentally alert and physically active.
The applicant must be able to operate new equipment and learn new procedures quickly and accurately.
The applicant must be able to work quickly and accurately under time pressure.
The applicant must be able to deal tactfully and professionally with physicians, patients, and coworkers.
Skills
- Knowledge of computer operation is preferred
