Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients
- Operate sophisticated CT equipment
- Adjust scanning parameters
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Follow strict radiation safety guidelines
- Review images for quality
- Collaborate closely with expert radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures and support patients effectively
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of radiologic Technology
- California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R)
- Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT))
- Venipuncture certification OR Venipuncture Course Completion
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
- Less than three (3) years of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (CT Tech) OR more than three (3) years of experience (Sr. CT Tech)
- Thorough knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications
- Thorough understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of a school of radiologic Technology. California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R). Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT)). Venipuncture certification OR Venipuncture Course Completion. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Less than three (3) years of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (CT Tech) OR more than three (3) years of experience (Sr. CT Tech). Thorough knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications. Thorough understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS. Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Preferred Qualifications: California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F). Two (2) years of CT experience in an acute care hospital setting. Prior experience in a Level I trauma center environment. Familiarity with imaging protocols and workflows in a comprehensive stroke center. Previous use of advanced CT technology and post-processing software in emergency or critical care imaging.

Pay
Depending on experience, license and certifications of the selected candidate, this position will be hired as a CT Tech or Sr CT Tech level. This posting represents positions available at all locations in La Jolla, Hillcrest and East Campus. Floating may be required based on the needs of the department.
