Methodist Hospital is seeking a CT imaging student extern for a PRN position.

About the role

This position is responsible for providing direct patient care duties for designated imaging patients and clerical tasks supporting the department. The incumbent will perform procedures and provide personal care while ensuring the surroundings are clean, orderly, and well-stocked.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care duties for designated imaging patients
• Perform clerical tasks supporting the department
• Perform imaging procedures
• Maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked surroundings
• Observe patients and report any changes to the technologist
• Set priorities and manage a high workload within limited time for completion
• Organize tasks efficiently

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in an accredited imaging program
• Basic Life Support certification
• Active Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Radiology Student Permit, if applicable
• Knowledge of RIS for training and problem resolution
• Knowledge of PACS for training and problem resolution
• Understanding of principles of good personal hygiene and aseptic techniques
• Good communication and public relations skills
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients served
