CT Rad Technologist - Children's - PRN

Under the supervision of the Outpatient Imaging Director, Pediatric Manager, and/or Radiologist, performs a variety of procedures, including CT scans, invasive procedures, and post-processing.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and invasive procedures with independent judgment and initiative.
- Utilize computerized tomographic equipment to create high-quality diagnostic images.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of patients in the emergency department and assigned unit.
- Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret age-specific needs to provide appropriate care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program (required).
- ARRT certified (compliant with all continuing education mandates) or registry eligible (must complete within one year).
- Radiological student from an approved Radiology program who has completed all academic courses (must be registry eligible within three months and complete registry within one year).
- BLS certification completed prior to starting in the unit/department and maintained thereafter.
- Basic computer experience (1-2 years work experience or college-level classes).
- Medical and/or hospital clinical experience (required).
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) certification.
- Prior hospital and/or physician office background.
This is a PRN (as-needed) position with standard temporary hours at Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
