About the role

A training position preparing individuals to gain certification. Residents will work under the supervision of a registered CT technologist in providing CT exams per physician orders. Position will offer eligibility for certification after 22 weeks of clinical and didactic training. After successful completion of program, the resident will be eligible to apply for the ARRT certification examination. Upon passing the certification exam, residents will be assigned to positions as CT Technologists and agree to a two (2) year employment commitment with Northside.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of a registered CT technologist in providing CT exams per physician orders.
  • Eligibility for certification after 22 weeks of clinical and didactic training.
  • Eligible to apply for the ARRT certification examination upon passing the certification exam.
  • Assigned to positions as CT Technologists after successful completion of program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT)
  • One (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology

Qualifications

  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • Preferred Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
  • Ability to insert an intravenous catheter
