CST (SWORD) Operator

Key Responsibilities
PART OF CST (Command & Staff Trainer) EXCON Preparation Phase: Support Planning & Coordinating of exercises by interacting with the SWORD software & explain to clients, CST Exercise Team leader / Role-players / Coaches the possibilities and limitations of the system to deliver what they want. Create, load and adapt SWORD scenarios (troops friend & enemy, MEL-MIL = Main Event List / Main Incident List, terrain) Test & improve the scenario until ready for training.
Support User Training for the Operators Execution Phase: Support EXCON to run the Exercise by interacting with the SWORD software according to guidance of the CST Exercise Team leader / Role-players / Coaches / Core EXCON Team Support CST Exercise Team leader / Role-players / Coaches in interacting with the SWORD software, including observer mode & making notes for the debriefing Support Users with SWORD manipulation issues Support Tech Team with solving IT issues
Support After Action Review Phase: Support CST Exercise Team leader / Role-players / Coaches in preparing and executing debriefings Provide Lessons Learned Team with most relevant exercise observations Support Data Analyst in acquiring relevant data from exercises
Conduct annual updates of the SWORD software Support Battalion & Brigade planning efforts with SWORD software at Brigade or Battalion HQ, including wargaming & COA Comparison Support Competence Center Land in testing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures or the use of new weapon systems Support Competence Center Land in educating Company Commanders or Battalion and Brigade Planning Officers in planning and conducting a Combined Arms Operation
Must have requirements
Former military Officer or NCO with Warfighter CAX User or Operator experience
Able & Available to work long days (7 to 22) for 5 to 10 consecutive days in a PC Room
Speak English, French or Dutch
Preferred requirements
Former military Officer or NCO with Warfighter CAX Operator experience
Experience with Combined Arms Tactics
Speak English, French and Dutch
