Responsibilities
- Direct the organization's cybersecurity program by shaping strategy, setting priorities, and aligning security initiatives with operational needs.
- Oversee the response to security events and cyber incidents, ensuring timely investigation, containment, recovery, and preventive follow-up actions.
- Review the current security architecture and introduce appropriate technologies and monitoring capabilities to improve threat detection and defense.
- Lead cross-functional remediation efforts to address vulnerabilities, strengthen controls, and maintain a high standard of protection across enterprise systems.
- Establish and refine security policies, procedures, and control frameworks to support compliance obligations and consistent operational practices.
- Conduct or supervise vulnerability assessments, technical scans, and security reviews across networks, databases, operating systems, and applications.
- Manage enterprise security projects and coordinate with internal teams to improve infrastructure security, application protection, and overall cyber readiness.
- Provide leadership briefings, risk-based recommendations, and security updates on emerging threats, industry trends, and compliance expectations.
- Build and maintain security awareness initiatives, including training and testing programs that promote informed and secure user behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a closely related field.
- At least five years of experience in information technology, information security, or application security engineering.
- Minimum of two years in a senior information security leadership capacity with responsibility for strategy, governance, and program oversight.
- CISSP or Certified Chief Information Security Officer certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in cyber risk management, cyber governance, cyber defense, and security strategy development.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security principles spanning networks, systems, applications, encryption, and threat intelligence.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management practices, compliance standards, security policies, and incident response frameworks.
