The Opportunity

The Sisters of St. Joseph Brentwood seek an Executive Director of CSJ Sponsored Schools to provide strategic oversight on behalf of the Board of Members (Congregation’s Leadership Council) for its four all-girls Catholic, college preparatory schools across New York and Puerto Rico. This role emerges from two years of thoughtful planning led by a volunteer executive advisory group convened by the Sisters to assess financial sustainability, enrollment trends, and future opportunities for the schools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight on behalf of the Board of Members (Congregation’s Leadership Council) for its four all-girls Catholic, college preparatory schools across New York and Puerto Rico.
  • Help advance academic priorities while also supporting enrollment growth, financial sustainability, governance effectiveness, fundraising, marketing, and long-term institutional vitality.

Requirements

  • Deep educational leadership experience.
  • A forward-looking perspective on teaching and learning.
  • Experience with all-girls Catholic education.
  • Ability to support enrollment growth and financial sustainability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with fundraising and marketing.
  • Knowledge of Catholic Social Teachings.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education, Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in all-girls Catholic schools.
  • Proven track record of successful strategic planning and implementation.
  • Experience with financial management and budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including board members, faculty, staff, and community partners.

Benefits

This is an on-site position based in Floral Park, New York, with travel to other school locations in Jamaica Estates, Hempstead, Brooklyn, and Puerto Rico as needed. The salary range for this opportunity is $175,000 - $225,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
