CSEA - BULLETIN #9 - SCHOOL BUS DRIVER INSTRUCTOR/EXAMINER - PART-TIME - TEMPORARY TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT

Requirements

• Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements
• Must meet Civil Service requirements
• Class B Commercial Driver's license, with P and S endorsements
• Approval by New York DMV bus driver unit "active-school qualified"
• Meets NY Commissioner of Education standards as a school bus driver
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Physical abilities commensurate with demands of the position
• Proven safe bus driving skills
• Must commit to scheduled hours

Responsibilities

• May maintain driver records as required by DMV and State Education Dept
• May train school bus driver candidates in obtaining CDL permits and licenses
• May train school monitors in responsibilities when assigned to school buses
• May deliver supplies as deemed necessary by the school administration

9:30 AM - 12:00 PM (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
