CSA Cost and Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Developing, monitoring, managing and reporting budgets for the construction of new projects.
• Managing and coordinating the bidding process internally and externally.
• Preparing detailed cost estimates and benchmarks for various projects.
• Anticipating potential risks and developing preventative solutions, conducting cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making.
• Preparing regular progress reports, cost forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Maintaining cross-organizational communication, coordination, and problem-solving.
• Managing technical and commercial documents.
• Performing project management based on the professional fields of civil engineering, structural engineering, and architecture.
• Implementing cost management that includes making design change decisions for civil engineering, structural engineering, and architecture based on the project schedule, managing bidding budgets and execution, and setting benchmarks for cost budgets.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with estimate software and project management methodologies.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in construction industry or semiconductor industry, experience in cost management or cost estimating, degree program or extracurricular activities including data or construction, interpersonal skills: highly enthusiastic and interested in handling data and cost, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, ability to spot issues and solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, must be a team player and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily an office-based role requiring the ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, and carry light objects.

Shift Expectations

• All CSA Cost and Control engineers may be required to work scheduled weekends on-duty.
• Standard work hours: Monday through Friday.

About the Role

TSMC Arizona’s first fab will operate its leading-edge semiconductor process technology (N4 process), starting production in the first half of 2025. The second fab will utilize its leading edge N3 and N2 process technology and be operational in 2028.
