Crystals Technician II
About the role
The Crystals Technician II position within the Crystals Department at PCB is accountable for following all PCB procedures and forms in compliance with ISO 9001. This role involves performing a variety of production tasks, both independently and under supervision, requiring adherence to written and verbal instructions and a comprehensive understanding of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Refers to drawings, routers, and procedures to perform various processes required to produce crystals.
- Performs in-process inspection and testing of crystals, recording data as required.
- Uses microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, micrometers, and various processing and test equipment.
- Responsible for simple set-ups, operations, and cleanings of various equipment according to procedures.
- May operate hot plates, ovens, furnaces, ultrasonic cleaners, laser etchers, chemical or vapor plating equipment, poling stations, precision test instrumentation, and other equipment as needed.
- Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction by dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status and collaborating with engineering on continuous improvement projects.
- Provides information to department leadership and colleagues to positively impact quality and output, and offers input on yield issues for improvement.
- Aids in training of new team members.
- Fulfills responsibilities with respect to workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements, adhering to company hazardous waste management procedures.
- Maintains a clean and organized working area, and follows established department cleaning requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the department and PCB.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience, including handling small parts with tweezers under a microscope, using micrometers, and basic electrical test equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills and good documentation and communication skills are beneficial.
