Cryptographic Software Engineer

About Us ‍ Looking for a talented researcher to directly contribute to advanced research efforts in data security. The Senior Research Engineer will be responsible for generating and evaluating new data privacy solutions, supporting product teams with security expertise, solving complex cryptography-related challenges and conducting novel research in the field. Our ideal candidate combines intellectual curiosity with practical, results-driven research that builds on existing bodies of knowledge to produce actionable benefits for end users. ‍ Responsibilities ‍ Developing original research agenda and directions, and performing independent analysis of products using cryptographic mechanisms, contributing to ongoing projects.Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure the seamless integration and alignment of solutions with goals and best practices, participate in the implementation.Designing and implementing cryptographic technologies & algorithms.Communicating with subject matter experts and adopting the innovations.Staying at the forefront of emerging cryptography trends, technologies, and best practices, and applying this knowledge to enhance PrivateAI’s data protection strategies.Providing expertise and guidance in cryptography, data security and privacy, encryption and adjacent areas for PrivateAI’s products.Build resilient and scalable architecture, driving innovation and cost efficiency. ‍ Requirements ‍ Qualified software/cryptographic engineer with multi-year distributed ledger experience.Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production.Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.Well versed in data governance, quality, semantics, health data topics and related data transformation including methods of de-identification and privacy preserving analytics and computing.In depth expertise in cryptographic design and analysis, cryptographic protocols, fully homomorphic encryption, encryption standards, secure computing, privacy-enhancing technologies.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities.Programming experience (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Experience:5+ years of experience with security, encryption, architecture, and design.experience encryption and decryption within AI, LLMs (Mistral, spaCy,BERt etc.) environments.experience with fully homomorphic encryption.Education:Masters/PhD or equivalent education and experience in the field of Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. ‍ Benefits ‍ ‍A market-competitive remuneration and performance-dependent bonuses (including a rewarding commission from funding raised) and vesting in the form of tokens.
