Cross Country Coach - SM Middle School

About the role

The Middle School Cross Country Coach position at Spruce Mountain Middle School is open for an individual committed to teaching the fundamentals of cross country running, competition motivation, and measuring success. Responsibilities include instilling the importance of respect for the school, opponents, officials, and the community.

Qualifications

• Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for experience working with students with social and emotional challenges.
• Prior experience working with students with social and emotional challenges is preferred.
• Knowledge of the sport through participation, clinics, and/or prior coaching experience.
• Coaching certification through the Maine Principals Association.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

• Submit a cover letter, detailed current resume, completed RSU #73 Coaching Application, three letters of recommendation with contact information, college transcripts if applicable, and CHRC certification documents.
