Responsibilities
- Develop and generate new crop insurance business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, producers, and agribusiness clients
- Consult with clients to evaluate risk exposures and recommend appropriate crop insurance solutions
- Educate clients on available coverage options, policy updates, and risk management strategies
- Manage renewals, policy reviews, acreage reporting, and ongoing client service needs
- Collaborate with carrier partners and internal teams to provide competitive solutions and exceptional service
- Maintain compliance with federal crop insurance regulations and reporting requirements
- Stay current on agricultural trends, commodity markets, and industry developments
Qualifications
- Crop insurance or agricultural sales experience preferred
- Active Property & Casualty license preferred
- Crop insurance licensing and knowledge of MPCI and crop hail products is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Agricultural background or understanding of farming operations preferred
