About the role
At Farmers Mutual Hail (FMH), our mission is to protect the livelihoods and legacies of America's farmers through comprehensive farm insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Complete field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, measure fields, and climb storage bins.
- Discuss findings of crop losses with producers to assist America's farmers in their operations.
- Work claims for all major crops, policy/plan types, in all stages of growth.
- Communicate regulations and interpretations to producers, agents, and Company staff regarding claims processes.
- Stay current with RMA requirements and maintain CAPP certification if working multi-peril crop insurance (MPCI) claims.
- Maintain a State Adjuster License where required.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 5 years of crop insurance adjusting experience or an agriculture background preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in business or an ag-related field preferred.
- Skills: Basic computer skills including the ability to use a computer, printer, scanner, Internet, and Microsoft Office products.
- Additional Requirements: Available to attend all Company-mandated training events and conferences, able to travel for work-related reasons for periods exceeding 24 hours, able to physically climb heights in excess of 10 feet, walk distances over ¼ mile over uneven terrain, and stand without rest for periods greater than one hour, must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and own a vehicle.
