About the role
The Staff CRNA is a highly motivated professional advanced nurse and skilled clinician who with minimal supervision assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nurse anesthesia care of surgical patients. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative setting. Requires flexible, self directed CRNA with the ability to work in any phase of the perioperative setting and a willingness to float between all areas in the perioperative setting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe, effective and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative setting.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nurse anesthesia care of surgical patients.
- Works in any phase of the perioperative setting and willing to float between all areas as needed.
- Delivers patient care in the subspecialty areas.
- Works any of the perioperative phases of care including pre-procedure, and Operating Room.
- Uses hospital based software programs and general office equipment.
- Knows hospital, unit level policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Uses equipment utilized in the Perioperative setting.
- Communicates and interacts effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Equivalent Qualifications: Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Masters of Nurse Anesthesia in Nurse Anesthesia
Qualifications
- Essential: Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications: Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below: Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ABON Basic Life Support Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists
Skills
- Expert in the delivery of patient care in the subspecialty areas.
- Flexible, self directed staff with the ability to work any of the perioperative phases of care including pre-procedure, and Operating Room.
- Proficient in the use of hospital based software programs and general office equipment.
- Knowledge regarding hospital, unit level policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Proficiency in the use of equipment utilized in the Perioperative setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits
Although it is part of the Children's Health System, which is a teaching facility, there are no residents or students who train at this location.

Monday - Friday, Day Shift, Monday-Friday Standard Days
