Explore an exciting opportunity with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as we eagerly welcome a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Outpatient Anesthesia Team in Winston Salem, NC.

Responsibilities

• Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
• Uses medical decision‑making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri‑operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co‑morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
• Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team‑based care; uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
• Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
• Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.
• The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.

Requirements

• Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master’s Degree or Higher Required.
• Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing + Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board.
• Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS.
• Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
