About the role
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) that functions at a medical level of care to provide anesthesia, analgesia, and pain management services across the patient lifespan in a variety of settings. Clinical responsibilities may include ambulatory, surgery center and/or hospital anesthesia services. The CRNA participates as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high quality, cost effective, and evidenced-based care.
Responsibilities
- Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
- Uses medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri-operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co-morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
- Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care; Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
- Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
- Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.
Requirements
- Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master’s Degree or Higher Required.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing + Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board.
- Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS.
- Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.

Pay
$99.75 - $159.60 per hour.
Schedule
Multiple 11, 12, and 13-hour shift options, hybrid shifts (mix of 8 & 12), and weekend options!
