About the role
This position is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in a community hospital setting with a small, collaborative anesthesia team. You will independently manage anesthesia across diverse surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, ENT, pain management, and endoscopy.
A typical day begins with an early start for scheduled OR cases, ending by mid-afternoon. The role includes a rotating call schedule covering evenings and overnight hours.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage anesthesia for a varied caseload of adult patients
- Support perioperative workflows and ensure quality patient care
- Follow an autonomous practice model
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques, including spinals, epidurals, and blocks
Requirements
- Board certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques
Work environment
- Small, collaborative anesthesia team
- Three operating rooms with a predictable workflow
- On-site location with no prescriptive authority required
Schedule
- Early start with scheduled OR cases, ending by mid-afternoon
- Rotating call schedule: every third weeknight and every fourth weekend
