About the role

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced CRNA - Float to provide quality and versatile anesthesia care under the direction or delegation of a physician for multiple site locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document preanesthetic assessment and consent
  • Select and administer analgesic and anesthetic agents and/or adjuvant drugs as necessary to provide anesthesia services
  • Perform all aspects of airway management
  • Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by evaluating patient response, and selecting, ordering, and administering medications, fluids to maintain patient stability during transfer
  • Initiate and administer post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system
  • Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation during post-anesthesia period
  • Provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care
  • Discharge patient from post-anesthesia care unit
  • Closely support and monitor life functions
  • Terminate anesthesia in a timely fashion, ensuring patient safety to post-anesthetic recovery room
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required, as well as valid CRNA certification, BLS, and ACLS. The candidate should have a minimum of one year of progressive work experience in a multispecialty physician group model.

Skills

  • Ability to transport patients in stretchers to various rooms/locations
  • Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques
  • Proficient technical (computer) skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Self-motivated with initiative
  • Ability to manage conflict and resolve problems

Work Environment

This job operates in outpatient healthcare facilities and requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 150 pounds.
