CRNA Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Provides anesthesia care in the operating room in support of surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the general supervision of an anesthesiologist. Provides preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up. Functions as a patient advocate and confidant, advisor and liaison between patients, families, and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Provides anesthesia coverage at a Level I Trauma Center with a diverse case and patient mix, excluding heart/lung transplants and burns.
- Supports 13 non-OR anesthesia sites including GI/Pulm, Cath/EP lab, IR, OB, and MRI.
- Works in a facility with 31 operating rooms, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and direct access to Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing (Required).
- Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania).
