Position Highlights
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position at Pipestone County Medical Center and Family Clinic is eligible for $20,000 relocation assistance. It offers a 2 weeks on, 1 week off schedule with 24/7 coverage during the first week and no call weeks for the following two weeks.
Job Duties
- Manages staff in anesthesia services in the Operating Room, Outpatient Surgery, Obstetrics, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Consults with staff, medical staff, and the Surgical Services Nurse Manager regarding problems and interpreting policies and procedures.
- Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in process improvement initiatives.
- Aids in formulating the department's budget.
- Provides care in the pain management environment, addressing both the psychological and physical needs of patients.
- Functions as a resource and educator for other healthcare professionals.
- Ensures adherence to the organization's mission, vision, and values in all job-related activities.
Position Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved professional CRNA program.
- Master’s degree required.
- Previous experience preferred.
- An active CRNA license and Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota or meeting multi-state licensure requirements.
- Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or re-certified by the Council on Re-certification of Nurse Anesthesia.
- Certification as an APRN through the Minnesota Board of Nursing with the appropriate designation.
- Federal DEA certification as required by the state of Minnesota.
- BLS (CPR) certification required.
- Certification in CALS with a newborn module or ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $217,859.20 - $277,201.60 annually. The actual salary rate is dependent upon experience.
