About the role

The role is within the Anesthesia department at Main Campus Children's of Alabama. The work schedule is Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the hospital mission of providing the finest pediatric health services to all children.
• Work as part of a team to provide excellent medical education and research.
• Act as an advocate for children and educate the public about issues affecting their health and wellbeing.
• Use all anesthesia and inhalation therapy materials and techniques in current use.
• Utilize all anesthetic agents and associated drugs and equipment used in both pediatric and adult anesthesia.
• Specialize in caring for children during the peri-operative period, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Handle general anesthesia cases in various departments such as Benjamin Russell, Lowder, imaging, NICU, and emergency airways.
• Collaborate with the best in the nation as part of the anesthesia team at Children's of Alabama.

Requirements

• Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications: Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications:
• Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ABON
• Basic Life Support Certified
